God designed Francine Nedd as a Poet, a Verbal Force, … in an Undiluted world filled with damage, compromised minds…She is that little light that shines truth in a world of shadows darkness and traps, a light leading to that OMNI PRESENT LIGHT called GOD Francine Need (aka) The Poetess Queen Francine is a native of Washington DC. Queen Francine grew up listening to legends such as Al Johnson of the Unification, Skip Mahoney and the Casuals just to name a few. She never knew that she’d one day grace the stage with legends she once listened attentively to. Queen Francine is the newest member of DCLM. She is a Spoken Word Artist, Writer, and Author, but it is her unique musical styling of Poetry to music that has landed her a spot with DCLM. The Queens raw urban flow, has been compared to that of the late Gil Scott-Heron; (a compliment in which she receives as quite an honor) The Queen, which she is often referred to is accompanied, energized by her band PoehTre’s, neo soul jazz type vibe, the Queen doesn’t miss a beat delivering undiluted truth to train and untrained ears. Her work has been heard on several radio and TV shows in and around the DMV some which she has hosted such as 1340 WYCB’s Poetry and Praise Friday’s and One on One with the Lord. In 2010 she opened for gospel artist TV host Jeff Majors and Legend Al Johnson, who would go on to become her mentor.
