Michael Jones

Michael Jones started playing guitar at the age of 14 years old. He has played for several bands in Washington DC. area. The Matadors was the first band that he played. The band changed its name when they recorded a record on the Cherry Blossom Records label to Elvans Rd LTD produced by Max Kidd and arranged by Al Johnson. “Summer Free For All” https://youtu.be/eGQzrxEh3kw

Elvans Rd was where the band had a house.

Some of the other bands he played with were Destiny, while with band Symba he wrote 6 of the 8 songs that the band recorded on the Venture Record label. The LP was titled “Body Bait” which produced a top 100 Billboard Chart single entitled “Hey You”

Jade was another band he performed with. The band Jade won a songwriters contest that a local radio station WOL was hosting sponsored by Budweiser. The band was invited to perform at The Hollywood Palladium in California.

Singing groups he has performed with are Skip Mahoney & The Casuals, The Acoustics, and Silk Soul and Love Station.

Mood Experience was the band he performed with before his current band Jimi Smooth & HitTime.
