Born in D.C. Started playing the guitar at 3 under the guidance of Roger Dent. Played by ear for 10 yrs until note reading was introduced to me by the great guitarist Bill Harris. I started teaching for Bill Harris at 19. I was one of the 1st guitar teachers along with Joe Harris, Bill Harris son to teach guitar for the D.C. Youth Orchestra in the D.C. Public School system. I was Music Director for Compared To Whats Summer In the Parks progam. Through Compared To What I gave guitar lessons to hundreds of youth throughout the city. I went on to teach guitar for The Sewell Music Conservatory on Kennedy St. At 21 I went to NY City to hook up with Earth Wind and Fire where I learned I needed to sharpen my music skills.
