From his own perspective…
I’m from Washington D.C. I got into music at least from the guitar perspective, when I was in junior high. What happened was I had a buddy, and he used to play guitar, and there was this girl that I liked and she seemed to like him. Now she wouldn’t talk to me she would only talk to him and I figured it was because he played guitar. So I picked up the guitar and kinda taught myself how to play and that’s how I got into it. I always liked music but I never really knew how to play an instrument until I picked up the guitar and figured it out. I started picking up a couple things from watching people and I really wasn’t into the guitar the way I ended up being into it until I heard Jimi Hendrix. I hate to say it and I know it sounds corny, but that’s what really really got me into the guitar. I was like geez man I can’t believe what I’m hearing. That’s when I got really opened up to what the guitar could do. After that I got hooked on it.
