Anthony Contee

Screen Shot 2016-03-18 at 10.52.07 PM Anthony started playing back in 1969. His first band was The 9th Decade with Alvin Fisher out of NE. They ended up backing Skip Mahoaney & The Casuals. After that, he played for The Shadows Band with Allan and Bobby Wiggins. That band produced two singles called Funksville and The Bicentennial Jam. He also had a Brief stint with Golden Touch with Jimi Dugans backing up Motown’s own Eddie Kendricks. He also played with Sounds Extended with Jimmy Brown, Frank Yates, Frank Webber and Bob Lawson. In 1983 he joined with Trouble Funk off and on for the next 20 years. He also performed with Father’s Children from 2001-2007. Anthony landed a gig with Heatwave in 2004. Currently still there along with FrameWerk and We Are One Tribute Xperience Band. Quite a few other things off and on with all of the Great talent in our city.
